Utah Trip

I was adventurous and went to Utah with the girls.  Tyler stayed home and worked like crazy.  I'm so glad we went- it was a great trip and we loved seeing family.  Because of my high risk pregnancy and a crazy amount of doctor appointments, we hadn't been out since August.
To help carry all her stuff, I got Bridgette this new backpack.  She loved it and was so concerned when it had to be scanned in security.
Waiting to get on the plane.  Pretty much adorable!
We made it in one piece, whew!  We had a little meltdown in the bathroom in Salt Lake and I walked to baggage claim with two screaming kids.  Haha, I think every mom has been there and can't do anything besides hurry.  On the way home, we stopped by the cemetery to visit Amelia on her birthday- March 4th.  (Last post has all the details)

We spent most days playing at home with Bronco, cousins, or toys downstairs.  It was low-ley and perfect!
Having lunch with cousins Frederick, Sophie and Eli.

Bridgette's obsession with Bronco was intensified with this trip.  In the morning she would say "Let's play frisbee time with Bronco!"  She loved trying to choose what color of ball or frisbee to use, but if you have played with Bronco you know you can't throw whatever ball you want.  This would result in about 6 different toys sitting in the grass in front of him, haha.  She started giving him hugs goodnight along with everyone else.
Giving Penny some "good toys" to play with.

We went up to Salt Lake with Laura and her kids to visit my Grandma "Nana".  She had made yummy lunch and we played at her house.  Grandma got to meet Penelope and see how much Bridgette has grown.  Bridgette had a great time with her and immediately felt comfortable which is unusual with unfamiliar people.

That night right before we were about to leave for dinner Bridgette threw up.  She felt much better the next morning, so we met at Emily's house and walked to the park for lunch.  We both took naps when we got back and when I woke up, I knew I was sick too.  My parents had to leave for a reception and as soon as they left, I started throwing up.  Luckily Carrie could come over and hold Penny while I got Bridgette ready for bed.  During the night I couldn't stop vomiting and couldn't even keep sips of water down.  By 3 am I was so dehyrated I was shaking, weak, and could barely feed Penny, who freaked out when we tried a bottle.  Popcan took me into the ED so I could get IV fluids and Zofran.  I felt so much better with the fluids and we headed home.  My whole family had been sick the week before, so we thought we'd be okay, but we obviously weren't!  I guess we're trying to continue our streak of only getting sick when we visit family.  Because of this we missed out on the children's museum and visiting my Grandma Tucker in Provo.  Hopefully next time!

We did laugh at this comparison of me as a baby and Penny.  We know where she got all that crazy hair.  Almost the same baby!
Popcan and Miss Penny.  I thought this was just too cute with her smiling so big.
It even snowed once which was perfect since Bridgette hadn't seen snow this year to remember what it is.  Bridgette was scared to touch it, eat it, or even walk on it.  It was pretty funny- I guess she's a true California girl now!
My helper getting packed to go home.
Last morning with Popcan and the girls!
We loved visiting Utah and letting my family meet Penelope.  Bridgette loves talking about her cousins and Grammy, Popcan and Bronco!  Maybe next time we can all stay healthy!

Bridgette and Addy have such similar facial expressions. It cracks me up. Wish I still lived in Utah so I could visit with you too! We live in the same state but visit each other less. Sad!!
