My parents rented a beach house up at Sunset Beach in Huntington Beach in July. All my sisters and their families came out for the week and we had a blast! Bridgette was in cousin, Grammy and Popcan, and aunt/uncle heaven! She quickly learned everyone's names and enjoyed knowing where everyone was and what they were doing. Tyler wasn't able to take the whole week off of work, but got the weekend off and stopped by after work most days.
Bridgette got very comfortable with going deep into the waves and loved jumping waves with Popcan. Brady and Bridgette did this for probably 30 minutes straight.
Penny hung out at the beach but didn't do any swimming.Playing in the sand.
You can see our house in the background. It was perfect to walk right out onto the beach and back to the house for lunch and naptime!
Bridgette and Sophie were cute little friends. They are the only little girls in a group of rowdy boy cousins. We are happy they have each other!
One day we all went down to Huntington State Beach where a few boys had surfing lessons. Penny fell asleep and my mom held her for her whole nap so I could play with Bridgette and do some boogie boarding.
Our setup at Huntington.
My mom made "seashell bags" for all the grandkids to collect their seashells in. Bridgette fell in love with hers and dutifully filled it up and carried it around with her. Some of the cousins- Brady, Ana, Tori, Sophie and Gauge holding their bags.
Bridgette liked playing with her older cousins- Ana and Tori.
With Ana, Tanner, Sophie and Frederick.
Girlfriends.
Our favorite part of the trip was hanging out at the house together. With 24 people in our family now, it's not often that we all get together! Chatting with Ana- I didn't realize we're in the same pose...My mom requested that each family write a song for their family to "I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ". One night we all performed them for each other. Bridgette was in heaven listening to each family's song, since we sing so much at home. Here's most of us singing our family songs.
THE MOORE FAMILY SONG-
I belong to the Moore family, we have 4 people.
There's Tyler and Rebe, Bridgette and Penny, we're in California.
We love the sun and love to run, we're good at doing tricks.
Daddy is busy, it drives Mama crazy, at least we have Mickey Mouse!
Mom brought tons of games, books and coloring notebooks for the kids to use. Bridgette loved having access to so many stickers, markers and crayons!
My favorite picture from the trip: Popcan and Poppy.
Penny and Aunt Jenny.
Almost every morning I was the first adult up with Bridgette and Eli. These two would sit in these big chairs, eat cereal and watch TV. I'd try to keep them quiet as long as possible since we had so many people sleeping in close quarters!
Eli loved Penny! He would lay on the floor, stroke her face and play with her. It was so sweet!
Riding one of Bridgette's favorites- merry-go-round.
Penny apparently was not a fan of the teacup ride, haha!
Waiting for the Buzz ride with Jace and Eli.
We all rode Small World together. Cute girls in pink hats, waiting to get on.
Bridgette sat with Popcan and they pointed at all the things hanging from the ceiling.
On Friday we went to the Long Beach Aquarium with the Mitchells and the Authiers before they took off. Bridgette loved the touch pools this time around.
Ana and Tori took Bridgette around while I was feeding Penny.
Thank you so much for an awesome vacation Mom and Popcan!!!! We all loved it and especially loved spending so much time together as a family.
