As I was doing my routine non-stress test, the nurse was concerned about the baby's heart rate since it kept dropping low. I went over to Labor and Delivery to be monitored longer and the doctor there decided it would be safest to induce labor immediately since we didn't know why the baby's heart rate kept dropping. Tyler came over and my friend Alecia watched the kids since we weren't planning a baby 2 weeks early. Labor was scary with his heart rate continuing to drop, at times all the way down to 45 bpm. With a great OB calmly monitoring us, we were able to safely deliver him at 11:00 pm. The doctor told me that the baby would only tolerate 3 pushes so I had to get him out quick. I did it and once he was out, he started breathing normally. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his abdomen and not allowing him to get enough oxygen. So relived he got here, was healthy and we could avoid a C-section.
We named him Weston Ray, after my Grandpa Ray Tucker. He was so calm snuggling with me and had big open eyes. Love at first sight.
He was 7 lbs 8 oz and 19.5 inches long, with lots of blond hair!Even though he was 2 weeks early, he was big and healthy.
Some random Kaiser tradition to press the picture and a lullaby song plays.
So sweet and snuggly.
Relaxing with mom.
My mom had to change her flight (we were planning to get induced the following week), and arrived late that night. Tyler and the kids came to visit in the morning.

Proud big sister Bridgette. Some how she looks so old now!
Big sister Penny. We decided that Weston looks most like Penny. They both had full heads of hair!Me and my FOUR kids!
First family picture.
Cute kids. Harrison wasn't quite sure about Weston and didn't want to hold him yet.
Dad and Weston.

Ready to go.
We made it home and the kids loved Weston!
