Christmas!

For Christmas we flew into Las Vegas, and from there was going to visit Tyler's family in St. George. We got stuck in Rochester due to the storm in Atlanta (where our connection was). We eventually got to Atlanta, and then to Las Vegas, however, our luggage did not. We arrived in Vegas at 2:00 am our time, and didn't get to leave the airport for another hour while Tyler waited in the baggage claim line to talk to somebody. (They lost every person's luggage who was delayed coming into Atlanta- about 80 people!) We finally arrived in St. George at 5 am, and slept for a few hours. Our luggage eventually came 2 days later.

In St. George we played lots of games, ate yummy food, went tubing at Brian Head, talked to Tyler's younger brother on his mission in South Korea, and went to Kylie's High School basketball game. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm 50-60 degree temperatures! We exchanged sibling Christmas presents the day before we left. The three girls got these adorable white peacoats, and the boys got volcanos. Unfortunately, one of the days I woke up very sick and was throwing up/laying in bed all day! The saddest part was I missed one day of Cafe Rio because I felt so sick.

We headed up to my family in Layton on Christmas Eve. We had a yummy Christmas dinner with Laura and Dave, and Emily and Ale. We also tried to make rice krispies gingerbread houses. The marshmallows never hardened up enough to keep any sort of structure. All the houses "melted" about 5 minutes after we finished! The one with the blue used to be a castle.Christmas morning we had my favorite caramel pull-apart rolls and then we opened presents. I got the world's most adorable cake stand and matching apron, a duster, pj's, and a meat thermometer (don't worry, I asked for it). This is Christmas morning. If you look close, you can see my apron. The day after Christmas we went with Laura and Dave to the Jazz vs. the 76er's game. Tyler loves the Jazz, and misses seeing any games, let alone going to one! We had a great time, thanks guys!
Carrie and Jenny's families came in on Sunday. I love it when the whole family is together since we don't see each other much anymore. We took family pictures that night (still coming), and exchanged sibling gifts. We gave to the Mitchells and since Carrie just had a new baby, I made some cute onesies using old t-shirts. I also made a shirt for Jace. (Excavator, dump truck and robot)Here is Eli in his new outfit. I think he's darling! We received presents from the Authier family. I got a cute rice buddy, duster, the first Twilight book, socks, Nutella, and a shirt. Tyler got a car emergency kit, football, and iTunes gift card. We love all our stuff. Thanks guys!

We went skiing on Monday up at Powder Mountain. It was so fun and we had a few bad wipeouts! We also went out to lunch, made yummy dinners at home and enjoyed being with each other.
