I decided to be adventurous and make homemade salsa using Tyler's grandma's famous recipe. I think I bought too many tomatoes- the biggest bucket I could find at the market- and barely made it to the car carrying them. Sadly I am sore today from carrying them! It took me 2 1/2 hours to peel and chop the tomatoes! I filled 4 big pots full of tomatoes. I wish I took a picture because it was quite hilarious. I simmered for a couple of hours and even left it unattended for 2 1/2 hours on low while we attended the annual Med student Mormo-que. I bottled when we got back and all 14 jars sealed! Whew...
It turned out super yummy and I feel like I am officially a "Moore" because I bottled the salsa successfully!

Glad they turned out better than the caramel apples!
I love homemdae salsa! You should post the recipe so we can try it! :)
I just did my first canning, plum jam. All the jars sealed to but haven't tried it yet. Looks yummy! Congrats on officially being a Moore.
