Late night at Disneyland

We've been wanting to see the brand new light up parade at Disneyland before we get blocked out for the summer, so we decided on this week.  It was pretty crazy because it starts so late (8:50pm) and all the 60th anniversary Disney celebrations are still new, so it was packed!

Tyler met us straight from work at 4:30, so we had some time to ride a few favorite rides.  Bridgette of course chose Small World.  Penny danced the whole time and Bridgette started singing as soon as the music started.  So cute to have something so magical for the girls!
We rode teacups.  Penny was happy at the beginning, but I think she gets dizzy easily.  She starts to look a little sick at the end of spinning rides, haha!
Tyler finally convinced Bridgette to go on Splash Mountain.  She loved all the bumpy parts, but not the end with when it goes "Splash, splash, splash, splash..."  Her report on it is quite hilarious, but she wasn't scared, mostly amused she got so wet.  Luckily I had brought jammies to change the girls into.  Tyler's face is even funnier than Bridgette's!!

The parade was awesome and both girls loved it!  Everything had lights and Bridgette got to wave to all her favorite princesses.  Penny would freak out if I lowered her and she couldn't see what was coming around the corner.
We had massive meltdowns on the way out of the park since it took forever and on the bus ride, but both fell asleep in the car!

Poor Penny was mowed down by a 6 year-old boy who was jumping off a wall and ran into her at full speed while she was toddling along.  She hit the ground and slid about a foot since he hit her so hard.  She has the cuts and bruise on her cheek and a few scrapes on her fingers.  I'm just glad it wasn't worse since they collided so hard!
Despite the fall and meltdowns, we had tons of fun and I'm glad we stayed for the parade rather than wait until August.

I love the picture of Tyler and Bridgette! How fun! Can't wait for us to come visit again. Hopefully Addy will have a growth spurt soon and then she can ride all the rides this time.
