We were all excited about going on vacation completely stress free, with Tyler being done with residency and boards completed. The girls were a little too excited. After we put them to bed, they came out less than an hour later, completely dressed and saying they were ready to go. Tyler and I had a good laugh and then sent them back to bed. (Still in clothes...)
We drove to St. George Saturday morning and for once, had an uneventful and smooth trip! We were able to stay for a few days, swimming, playing at the splash pad and eating out. The girls got these cute sundresses from Grandma. We went to Bear Lake with the Melvilles. It was a great trip! We had an awesome house and played at the lake several days. The girls loved riding around on the surf board and Bridgette tried kayaking.
Harrison thought he was kayaking...
Scott brought his boat and took the kids out tubing several times. Penny even went. She was so tiny, you couldn't even see her head popping out of the tube.
The morning we were going to tour the cave, Penny jumped off the stairs, landed weird and hurt her foot. She could barely walk and so we decided she should stay home with Tyler. It kept getting worse, so Tyler drove her down to Layton to get an x-ray. Luckily it wasn't broken, but she got a hard splint to keep it from getting worse. Poor little thing couldn't do much after that. She hung out at the beach playing in the sand and eating snacks.
Group shot before the cave tour. I ended up packing Harrison around in the back pack. It was a super intense workout on my bad knee, but I ended up doing all the stairs okay. Harry narrated the tour by pointing out "big rocks!". Bridgette thought it was fun for a little while, but the excitment wore off and she wasn't too impressed. "This is NOT what I thought a cave would look like!" She did not want to take a picture afterwards! Luckily Harrison passed out for the last little bit. Cute sleepy guy!
The girls had fun playing with their cousin Sophie. They were delighted to find out Sophie has the same dress!
One day we tie dyed t-shirts. It was a big project, but so fun! Bridgette loved designing hers. This is probably the only time Tyler will wear his.
This is all the grandkids in their shirts. Harrison didn't like his because it was too big.

Getting up at 5 am with early bird Penny does have it's benefits. A beautiful mountain sunrise.
We got plenty of yummy raspberry shakes and got schooled in selfies by Carrie and Ana.
Playing outside doing waterballoons, rocket balloons and airplanes.
The brother-in-law golf game. They had lots of fun, minus Tyler almost crashing their golf cart and Ryan jumping out. They saw lots of wildlife, including a moose!
Cute sisters- sharing everything. Good or bad...
After 4 fun filled, exhausting days, we drove back down to St. George. We were able to go to the 24th of July parade in Washington.
Afterwards there was a cute little carnival and the girls got to try out the fire hoses. This is Bridgette.
Tiny little Penny being so brave.
We did fireworks at 6, right before the kids went to bed. It was super light out, but who wants to keep your kids up until it's dark? Not me!
Chilling with Grandpa.
Handsome Harrison. He got pretty scared at some of the loud pops and had to sit with mom.
We had another great drive home! Yay! And then it was home to packing up the house and moving a block away. We are settled in now, and have been slowly working on the house and garden.
