Memorial Day

We had a fun filled Memorial Day this week. We started off having a Ward Breakfast where everyone brought something to share with each other. I made applesauce muffins with wheat flour. Here is Tyler sitting at the little kid's table. (Notice the haircut, this time it took me only 45 minutes, much better than my 2 hr 30 min haircut last time!)

We then went and set up our early anniversary gift to each other--- a picnic table. I was so excited to get it. We can now enjoy our lovely weather during dinner. We had to set it up then because we later had a BBQ with some of Tyler's classmates. We then went to Letchworth State Park. It is the "Grand Canyon of the East." We went with Frank and Debbie from Tyler's class. It was really fun, but it was a little more urbanized than we thought it should be. The park seemed like just a city park with a lot of trees and paved trails. We hiked around and looked at the waterfalls there.

Later we came home and had a great BBQ with lots of food from everyone. We forgot to take pictures, but my "grill-masta" can sure make a mean burger. He put BBQ sauce, onions, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chopped garlic, and parsley in the meat before he made them into patties. It was really good.

Then this week on Thursday, we had a huge rain storm that flooded a lot of basements around us. Luckily, it didn't get our basement, but it was sure worrisome. Here is a video of what it looked like.
