The weather has been so beautiful and warm, which is causing all the lush greens from last summer to reappear. I am constantly amazed at the beautiful landscape and springtime of this area. This weekend we attended the Lilac Festival which is at a local park designed by Fredrich Olmsted who also did Central Park. There are hundreds of lilac trees that you walk through- it is absolutely beautiful to see and of course, to smell! Mom totally missed out on this one! Look at these gorgeous flowers. Don't mind the fuzzy corner on all the pictures, apparently there is something on the camera.

Along with springtime, finally, is our little garden. We got to start planting this weekend and are excited to see how our plants will grow. We planted peas, carrots, onions, cucumbers, cauliflower and lettuce. Hopefully we get some success this year.

While my parents were here, they got a chair for me for my birthday (not until August). We love it! I feel like our place is gradually becoming a home. My mom also helped me to make this cute floral arrangement for the top of the TV so the hole in the entertainment center doesn't look so huge. I love it! What do you think?

Love the chair and arrangement! You have a big garden, cool.
Wow! I would have loved to go to the lilac festival and I wish that little cottage was mine!
I hope you have better luck with your garden than we have with ours!
You'll have to keep posting more photos as your garden develops!
