I had a lovely time off this week and the highlight was my parents coming out from Utah to visit us. It was so fun having visitors and taking them around to see where we live. Popcan and I went running every morning and enjoyed chatting and seeing all sorts of critters.
We went shopping the first day and out to dinner downtown. We loved going out to eat since we rarely do by ourselves! The next day while Tyler was in class we headed up to Niagara Falls. It was a beautiful day, we went on the Maid of the Mist and got soaked because it was so windy!

Mom and I thought this was hilarious- it looked like Popcan had drooled all over his shirt, but it was because his poncho leaked a little. (Probably because he didn't put on his hood, right Mom?)

This was in front of the American Falls, but you can't see it too well.
The next day we drove over to Palmyra to see the church history sites. They were very interesting and we learned new things about Joseph Smith's family and the printing of the Book of Mormon. The sacred grove was beautiful, just starting to get leaves and we thought this was probably what the grove looked like when Joseph prayed there in the early spring.

After my parents left on Saturday, Tyler had the 1st years vs. the 2nd years med student basketball game. It was exciting, but sadly they lost by 1 point. They had quite the crowd cheering them on, making it really fun. This is the boys after the game. Great job guys!

After that we went to our ward talent show that was a lot of fun. They had a head stand contest, so I went up and lasted a while, but lost to a girl who's a gymnast. Maybe next year... I was impressed that I could still balance that well, looks like my drill team skills are not all lost yet!

Mom got me a pair of red shoes, I think they are adorable, so here's the picture for Mom.

Thanks for visiting Mom and Popcan, we had a great time. If anyone else wants to come visit, we'd love to have you! This week we are back to real life, darn, I love having free time.

I'll come visit you if I have school off because of the swine flu! It will be next week, though! Looks like a lot of fun!
Yeah for visitors! It's so nice when people come to see where you live. And shopping and out to eat, parents are the best. We're definately planning on coming some time!
Can I come visit? jk Looks like you had a fun week. I'm glad I got to meet your parents, if only briefly.
Oh, and I LOVE that picture of the sacred grove (the one without Tyler). I hope you don't mind I stole it off your blog.
Just found your blog, it's so fun to see what's goin' on in NY.
