Saturday was a busy busy day for us. I ran the Grand Island Half Marathon in the morning. I have been training with 2 other girls in the ward here for it. This is us pre-race.
Unfortunately Katie got the stomach flu the night before, and had to stop early because she felt too sick, but she was a trooper! Emily and I ran together until about mile 6.5. I ended up finishing the race in 2:12:16. Right on track for what I wanted. The weather was really hot, and I totally got fried! My arms hurt so bad! Today I am a little sore, but mostly I have trouble going down the stairs. This was the longest race I had done for 3 years, so it was a big accomplishment for me. The race was hard for me, I can't imagine how I ever did a full marathon!! This is after the race- at least I am smiling!
We caught some lunch afterward at a pizza place in Buffalo and got yummy calzones. We didn't end up getting home until about 5:00 pm and had to turn around to get ready for Wicked. We went to dinner first with Angel and her friend at a yummy Italian place downtown. We got to Wicked just in time and LOVED it! It was amazing and Tyler even liked it, so that must mean it's good.
We had a great but busy day! Tyler has 2 more weeks of class until he starts to study for boards. I am going to Albany this week for the state dietetic conference. Other than that, not much else coming up here.

Congrats on finishing and I LOVE your cardigan! So cute.
I too LOVED Wicked! Its been 4 years, I NEED to see it again! It must be so fun living out East! Way to go on the half marathon too, you are quite the little runner.

Congrats on your half marathon! I'm sure Katie's bummed she wasn't able to finish. And Wicked sounds like a lot of fun, too. What a great day!
Congrats! A half is a good length, challenging, but not crazy. And I love Wicked, glad you guys could see it!
