We started out on Monday with the Moore's at Lagoon. It's been a few years for both of us so it was fun! With everyone before we were all worn out and sunburned!
Tyler took some pictures on the Tidal Wave. It used to be one of my favorites, but I felt nauseous on it. I think we're getting too old to be whipped around and dizzy- Tyler got sick on the swings!
That night we were able to meet up with his Grandma and went to dinner- yummy Mexican food. The next day we spent in Park City with the Moore's again. The drive was gorgeous and so green! We did the Alpine slide, a little outlet shopping and yummy pizza. The ski lift up.
Before we went down. Tyler was very careful this time not to get bashed up. (Recall last time racing Laura, losing and then getting cement burns all over his legs and arms) The funny thing is that night we tried roller blading and Tyler jumped off the curb into the street and biffed it, earning him some nasty cuts on his knees and hands.
The next few days we hung out with my family, including my 2 sisters from out of town and my Grandma from Kentucky. It was so great to see everyone and to get to know my cute little nephews and niece.Wednesday we went swimming with Carrie's kids at Cherry Hill and then to Cafe Rio for lunch. Mmmm... That night we went to my younger sister Emily's open house at her new house. It was neat to see her house and we got to meet her new puppy, Chester.
Thursday we met for lunch with my roommate Katherine, went up to Salt Lake to see Laura & Dave and then out to ice cream with high school friends Barbara & Gareth and Mikall. We had so much fun catching up with everyone and miss having them close by! For dinner my Mom agreed to make Tyler his requested meat loaf, what a lucky boy! (I won't make it)
Friday we went for a mini hike at Fernwood and had a picnic lunch.
After that we went swimming with Jenny's kids at Surf and Swim. Super fun, but Tyler turns into a little boy and can be quite hilarious (embarrassing) to watch! Just ask Emily... Katherine came over again that night and we enjoyed more time to chat. Later, Tyler decided he wanted to try out tennis. We played doubles with Dave and Ryan, but we only had 3 racquets so I had to use a racquetball one. It was surprisingly a lot of fun and I wasn't too bad (also surprising!)Saturday we crafted with the sisters while the boys golfed and then had Cafe Rio for lunch (you can never get enough!). We visited the cemetery to see Laura & Dave's baby girl, Heidi, who was born stillborn in February.
Now back to real life, but I don't want to be back yet!
