We brought banana muffins to music class to share with her friends and they sang her happy birthday. After lunch and quiet time, we headed to one of her favorite places- the Petting Zoo! She knows her way around and tells me what animal we will be going to visit next.
Hooray! Daddy got home at 5- it was a miracle! As soon as he walked in Bridgette yelled, "Let's open presents!" She got a Maisy Mouse memory game, jammies, a book, outfit, and "message paper".
I wasn't planning on making a cake since she was having a party on Saturday, but then she started talking about eating cake, getting "Happy Birthday" sung to her and blowing out candles, so I whipped one up during naptime. Not my best work, but not bad for being decorated in 5 minutes.
Her big present was a goldfish! She was so excited. After dinner we went to pick out which fish she wanted. She chose an orange one for her and black one for Penny. In the car she named them "Boney" and "Kitty-catty" without hesitation when Tyler asked her. We thought it was pretty funny. Here they are all settled in. Unfortunately, when we woke up the next morning, Boney had already died! Bridgette wasn't too upset (whew!) and we promptly picked out a new Boney that afternoon.
Grammy made Bridgette this darling princess dress which Bridgette has been calling her Rapunzel dress. We are in full princess mode over here!

Saturday morning was her birthday party. We combined with her friend Ellie (turned 5 yrs), whose birthday was the day before Bridgette's, since the same group of kids would be invited.
It was a princess party. I made the cupcakes which I thought turned out cute. It's supposed to look like the frosting is the bottom of the dress.
Birthday girl!
First we ate pizza, fruit kabobs, veggies and dip, and apples and dip. Then the kids made princess hats or king crowns. I had stickers and jewels, and markers to decorate them with. The kids loved it, although it was hard to keep organized with the wind!
Working on her hat with Grandpa and friend Ryan.
Bridgette and Ellie chose a cupcake and then each was sung to. Bridgette licked all the frosting off and then gave me her cupcake. Haha!
Bridgette thought her party was fabulous and told me on our way into the house afterwards that she loves birthday parties so much! Happy birthday to my big girl!

I am laughing so much right now over Boney! Poor fish. Also I'm so glad that Bridgette is obsessed with princesses too. Addy adores princesses which is funny because I haven't encouraged it at all. She's asked me numerous times to buy her a Rapunzel dress. :)
