8 Month Penelope

My tiny baby has turned into a big, silly 8 month old!  Penny's new tricks include: Sticking out her tongue, especially when she laughs or thinks something is funny.

 Pulling down her mobile.

 Eating puffs.  She also moved up in the world to a high chair.  Her legs were too fat for the bumbo!  She can drink from a sippy cup as well.

 

We started brushing her 2 tiny teeth.

She still loves her big sister!  She really loves Bridgette's hair and tries to pull it all day.  She was laughing so hard at dinner this week when Bridgette would take a drink and pretend to burp.  (Thanks Popcan!)

She loves playing peek-a-boo and will put blankets, books and burp cloths on her face to play.  She gives big open mouthed slobbery kisses that melt me! 

Still no crawling, but she can easily roll wherever she wants to go.  She got sick this month with a fever, diarrhea and little cold.  She becomes the worst sleeper when she's sick and has to be rocked to sleep several times at night.  She is still working on getting back to a normal eating and sleeping routine.  Hopefully soon (I'm tired!).

I love this sweet girl and realize more and more what a blessing she is to our family.  She has both eased the pain of losing Amelia but also makes me yearn for the baby I will never get to watch grow up.  Bittersweet.
