Harrison at 9 months.
His height and weight seem to have slowed down a little bit. He was
19 lbs, at 30%-ile and 28 1/2 inches at 66%-ile.
Harrison gave us a big scare one night by waking up coughing and gasping for air. We ran in and he was having trouble breathing and his chest was not expanding anymore. We ran him over to my neighbor who is a pediatrician at 3 am. She was able to listen to his breathing and calm us all down. She said he had really bad croup but that he needed to go into the ER for breathing treatments and steroids.
Much happier after he can breathe normally again!
There is nothing scarier than watching your child not be able to breathe. It surprised us because he had not been sick at all before waking up
with the difficulty breathing, so we had no idea what was wrong. I am so grateful to have a nice talented neighbor to help and that Harrison is totally fine now.
On to happier updates. He went real swimming for the first time and loved it!
He finally gets to do something at the park besides swing. His sisters adore him and love taking pictures with him even more.
He loves eating solids and is doing great at feeding himself puffs, bread, cheese and soft fruit. He army crawls around everywhere, but still not interested in traditional crawling. I don't know if he'll ever try it since he gets around so well without it. His top 2 teeth have come in with 2 more on top on the way. He is great at stealing toys, has a knack for finding every paper scrap, sticker and food under the table and sticking it in his mouth. He loves "dried up cheeseland" under our table. He has discovered the toy piano and thinks it's hilarious when he can make music.
We love him and love watching him grow up and learn new things.
