Knee Surgery

I decided to have knee surgery to take out plica (extra fibrous tissue in my joint) that has been giving me knee pain for over 2 years.  My mom came out to watch the kids and help for a few days.  We had 2 days to play before my surgery, so we visited the petting zoo, and checked out the Anaheim Packing House.  The girls loved this old movie in a side room, showing a slap-stick silent movie.
The building is an old citrus packing house and had so many fun decorations.  The girls liked riding the old tractor.
 Cutest drivers ever!!
This is the only picture I have of my surgery aftermath.  We thought the surgery went well, but after I still couldn't bend my knee at all after 2 weeks, I went back to my doctor.  My knee had bled inside the joint and was now filled up so much with blood it prevented any movement.  My doctor tried to aspirate the blood, but most of it had already clotted.  I now have to wait for the clot to dissolve on its own.  It has been one month since my surgery, and I am just starting to be able to bend and move my knee but there is still a huge clot in there.  I am hopeful to be walking and moving normally within the month.  So for now, I go to physical therapy twice a week, and do lots of stretching at home and just wait for it to get better so I can move again.  It has turned into a much bigger deal and hassle than it should have been.  Tyler has been a great help and has taken over much of the night and bedtime routine since I can't kneel to bathe kids.
