Lemon Park

My friend told me about a great park that is built on an old lemon orchard and still has tons of trees.  We brought a picnic, played at the park and then went lemon picking!  I almost felt like I was back at our U-pick farms in New York.  We picked close to 40 lemons and barely made a dent.
 The world's cutest picture!
Penny loved picking them and putting them in the bag.  I think it reminded her of Easter eggs.
After we got home, Bridgette and Daddy washed all the lemons in the sink and then made homemade lemonade.  Yum!
This little stinker pulled a squeezed lemon out of the garbage and was gnawing on it.  She didn't even act like it was sour!  I promise I feed this girl.
The finished product- delicious lemonade we all guzzled, including this stinker who kept smacking her lips and screaming for more tastes.
We've also made lemon sorbet, lemon chicken, and another big batch of lemonade.  What a fun and free activity!
