Bridgette one day starting talking about how she didn't like her bed, so I asked if she wanted a big girl bed and she said "yes!". We decided since she's 3 1/2 and still in her crib, it was time to go along with it and get a big girl bed! She loved spending the morning shopping for bed and trying them all out.
We ended up getting this nice solid wood one off of Craigslist, so we could get a bed that would last longer than an IKEA one. Needless to say, she loves it (and Penny does too!)
Here she is after she got to go to Target with Dad to choose sheets and a bedspread.
First night in her bed. She only came out about 6 times in 30 minutes. She fell out that first night, but hasn't had any problems since.
She loves the freedom her bed provides, as she can climb in and out as she pleases. She now spends naptime decorating her bed for "birthday parties" for her stuffed animal friends, setting her animals up on pullups,
and covering herself with stickers.
She was so proud of herself with how pretty her stickers were. She probably used close to 100 on her legs and hands.
We're so proud of her transition to the bed and relived it went so smoothly!
